Ixnay! You're gettin' mighty close to the edge podner! That sort of behavior could be considered unAmerican and might well get you some close scrutiny from Department of Homeland Defense goons.

But seriously, I agree 100% w/you. If somebody snorts about one my diesels they generally get my party line about reduced fuel consumption, decreased pollutant output and the ability to burn non-fossil fuels. Generally, they leave converted and contented.

I always leave mine idling when fueling, really the tank's not that big, it doesn't take much longer than some of the blasted stop lights in town. And frankly, have you smelled some of the gassers exhaust? It really stinks. In my opinion, much worse than diesel exhaust. I rather like the smell of diesel exhaust, it reminds me that I am driving something much easier on the environment and my wallet at the same time.
The fatso probably just filled up a big pickup truck with gasoline and was pi**ed off about the cost.

There are ways to work out anger issues other than yelling at people and eating everything in sight...

An E300 running properly isn't that loud number 1. Also you should have looked him square in the eye, and yelled out, "It's got a HEMI!"

see how he would react to that.. LMFAO... Those Dodge commercials are GREAT!

What happened to Reap what you Sow and all that crap like that? Remember, you may think you are taking the high ground but all it seems like you are taking is the "tail between your legs" route. What does that mean in the long run? That guy may go further to intimidate you. So no, hell with the thoughtful society stuff. Never happen. Oh we love to say "Rise above the animal level" and all the crap. However, IMO, that is too high a level. Walk before you run. Rise above the human level first. If this jerk can intimidate you, it does 2 things: 1. gives him the confidence to intimidate others. 2. trains you to be intimidated by a loudmouth. This change the world crap is not original. Remember Marx and engles? They thought the same thing too. Hasn't ever worked and will never work with humans or amimals. Know why my 60# Shar Pei could intimidate a 85# Pit Bull? Why can my current 65# Shar Pei intimidate a 110# Rott? Same thing. The two dogs were once puppies and could be easily controlled by the adult dog. They learnt that pattern throughout their lives.

Since the filters and the mods will not like me to use certain phrases, here is a cleaned up version: Have you tried self-procreation since no one else will procreate with you? IOW Go bleep yourself because that is the only bleep you will get.

Edited for R Leo:

Turbodiesel should have said to the fat ugly pissed off guy: Have you tried self-procreation since no one else will procreate with you? IOW Go bleep yourself because that is the only bleep you will get.

interesting...

reading this thread and observing attitudes in various parts of the country.
FatSlob would have been accepted up in northern NM in Taos or Santa Fe, but down here in "real new mexico" he would have been smarter than to say anything to strangers in that manner. we don't have concealed carry laws for no reason... LOL.
really, i've never heard of a law limiting idle time. is this for real???

When its below 30 and i go anywere i leave the car running until i get home. I always have a spare key so i can leave it running and lock it. Its a wonderfull thing to come out from the store in 10 degree weather and get into a nice warm car. My 84 300 had starter issues near the end and it was a once a day starter, i can remember leaving that car idling for 6-8 hrs and still getting 20+ mpg. The owners manual for my 240 mentioned something about leaving the car running overnight in real cold weather, it even had fuel usage for idling if i remember correctly.

Mostly in places that are sympathetic to the tree hugger types....they are usually people that think they are far smarter than they actually are.

It would be hard to enforce but it would be a "Dr Feelgood" law. The people can feel good that their politician cares and the politician can tell others how good he is. Like I said, Madison was considering it. Don't know if it died a quiet death but enforcement would be a nightmare. How would you enforce it? If I idled my car in the morning to warm it up and they take your word when you call it in, do I get the right to face my accuser? I know I do with a cop.

Thank you! I somewhat politely put him in his place.. and it showed by him leaving the store in a big huff. I'm 145 pounds soaking wet but he's lucky he didn't make me angry!

aklim, please remove your above post.
It wasn't to call anyone on the forum a name. It was a demonstration of a relatively polite way to say words and phrases when they contain unspeakables.

Any clown that would pull a stunt like that is a) either capable of backing up his mouth or b) has never really had his a$$ kicked. Judging by his description and the odds that most people with the skills to back up words wouldn't act this way he needed to be politely asked outside. Once outside polite but persistent taunting may actually get him to swing. And then you get to thump him. The problem with most idiots like this is they have never run into someone who thumps the hell out of them for being a rude idiot. The incident would have been completely different if he had been civil and polite. But he wasn't and hopefully someone someday will adjust his perspective. FWIW, no I don't go looking for idiots like this and thankfully they have never found me, and yes I have had my a$$ kicked a few times both in and out of a ring so I know when to get involved with an idiot like this and when not to.
