'87 300TD OM603 engine fs on eBay

Kinda rare, an '87 wagon turbodiesel engine. If what the seller says is true about having an updated head on it, then its probably worth the starting bid of $1850 to the right diesel head.

Hmm that engine should have the pump on it for the rear suspension? A 560SEL converted to an SDL would be pretty cool. :

Ha, I've wondered about if there is a difference within the OM603 for sedans, and TD wagons. The OM617, and wagon, or TD, has an integral placement for the hydraulic pump for rear suspension. Are the 124 wagons the same, special head, or whatever, to incorporate hydraulic rear suspension?????

Well he said TD. Remember that little sitch where I say tom(AH)to, you say tom(EH)to?

I say 300D, you say 300TD. I say 300TD, you say 300TDT. Gotta be a sedan. I see no mention of it being otherwise.

I wish to castigate myself with a spiked steel whip....To knock some sense into myself. It's late. I need some caffeine, or some other short-term stimulus.

That engine in the auction has the so-called tandem pump which has PS and SLS on the same pulley. You'll note that there are more than two hydraulic connections on the PS pump.
