New spoiler for 123

-- This post is an APRIL FOOLS DAY JOKE! (Please do not actually put spoilers on your w123) --

Hi,

I'm thinking of putting this spoiler on my car. I like the performance, but I think I could improve my understeer with some serious down force. Its a universal wing, so it should fit fine, but how do you think I should mount it? I'm thinking sheetmetal screws right through the trunk deck.

I'll probably be adding a hood scoop too, and use some PVC to plumb it into a K&N, get some serious power flowing. Sweet.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Peace,
Sam

Spoiler ?

Please tell us that this has something to do with the date tomorrow . If not you might want to refer to a Car and Driver article of a couple years past where they tested a group of cars that came factory equipped with spoilers , a grand total of one car actually had its' performance affected by disabling the spoiler ( it couldn't be removed ) that was a 911 , all the others were neither aided or hindered by their respective fashion statements . On the other hand you could dry your laundry or gut fish on that spoiler you pictured .

How is down force going to effect your 100MPH car with warn out 20+ year old suspension. All this spoiler will do is make you look like an idiot.

previous owner had a spoiler on my 560. It looked retarded. It is no longer there. Resist! Don't give in to the ricers!

Idiot? Dude, didn't you read the text on the photo...That's the no THE Viper Double!

With that wooden one you wouldn't need sheet metal screws you could just toenail it on and bend the nails over on the inside of the trunk....Send pictures when you giterdun

They added a spoiler to the STS-V because tests found the back end getting a bit light around 117mph.

Does a W123 diesel really need one? I'm very glad your not serious.

Although that may be true, something tells me the real reson they added that spoiler was part of a desperate attempt to remake caddillac's image. They finally figured out that fake wire wheel covers, padded vinyl roofs and opera lights just weren't cutting it with the under-sixty crowd. Good call, if a little late.
