aux. water pump w123 - '85 300D
 
I have the pump out of the car currently. Is there anything I shgould do while it is out of the car (lube?, clean?) I don't know if the pump works only having recently bought the car and only drvien it 15 miles or so so far.....

I should try that fix. I just took mine out and bypassed it. Plenty of heat without it in this mellow California winter environment.

Thanks for the info. I searched and didn't come up with that ref. I think I need to revisit how to search.....

LOL - I had plenty of trouble trying to find it myself - I still don't have the hang of using searches! :confused:

Replaces all the hoses back there... it's a PITA. Maybe rebuild the Monovalve since that has to come out too.

Not something I'd like to take apart often.

FWIW - my car was missing the Aux Pump AND Monovalve... heat was on ALL the time. :eek:

On my '85 300D there is no "back there" - the aux. water pump on my car was mounted rear of the passenger side headlight.
