Replaced my beat up radiator cap

I noticed my radiator cap's rubber gasket had rips and tears in it and was falling apart...and it occured to me a couple weeks ago that maybe it was important to the cooling system... Bought a new cap (the old one had the number 120 on it, the new one had 140...is this PSI?) for 8 bucks at the dealership and I picked up around 4 mpg giving me almost 25mpg for about 90% city miles (no AC) and that's with hard driving ...I suppose the old radiator cap never let the car warm up all the way because my oil pressure is lower at idle at op temp...just under 2 BAR on a 70 or so degree day. Just wanted to share...

hmmm.
they told me no more 100 caps (stock), 120 is the replacement.
now you had 120, they sell you 140.
I guess cranking the pressure up on 20 y/o cooling systems is good...

How does that equate to lbs? I am gettind anew from the local parts house today - he looked up my 240D and said it lists a 13 lb cap for my model. the one I have on must alos be an American replacement, but it is labeled as 15lbs. Anyone know which it should be?
