'94 Om606 Egr

I know this subject has been done to death but in searching I still don't seem to have found a definate answer- can you disable the EGR on the early versions of the N/A OM606 by just plugging the vacuum line to the valve? (there is no sensor on the valve, same as the '95 606's you got in the states I believe)

cheers

Not sure on the 94, but if you disconnect the vacuum lines, it will throw a code. Best bet is to check out the fresh air mod.

Have just plugged the egr vacuum line on my '95 606 for test purposes after I cleaned the intake 22k mi ago and no problems. I expect that this will be an extended test..

On my '97 I can't plug the vacuum line as the engine runs differently and throws a CEL. Re-routing the tube coming off the manifold going into the EGR was the ticket for mine. Everything is still functional and the EGR now draws fresh air
