Torque converter stall speed?
Any one know what the converter's stall speed should be on a '84 300TDT?
Mine seems to stall out at about 1500rpm, when the engine is warm, but it is less than that when cold, and I am woundering if I have a low power issue to look into. Thanks, Jason

Quote:
Stall is based off input torque and vehicle weight... so when the motor is cold it's safe to say it's producing less power thus less torque. Espically on a diesel where heat is needed in the combustion process. 1500rpm off boost sounds right for that year once boost hits it should flash stall a bit higher... 2100-2300rpm or so (at least mine does)
