300td wagon rear WAY in the air!!!
Had my new wagon shiped from texas (84-300td)When it arrived its rear suspension was so jacked up it is barely drivable.The car was chain-racheted down to the car carrier.how did this effect on my cars rear hydro-suspension and how do I correct the situation???

If it was not that way before the transport check the adjustment valve and linkage under the car...it is a mechanical linkage to the suspension so you can see it under the car to the rear. Has ' arm ' and linkage...
Also there are lots of threads about checking and fixing the wagon rear suspension... Do you have a Haynes manual for the 123 yet ? It has better pictures than some manuals. |

re-aim the head lights, adjust rearviews....Sorry just kidding....too much coffee....Good luck I bet it turns out to be something easily remedied.
I keep picturing a funny car type wagon with exhaust pipes out the sides and flames and parachute....Ok Ok I'm done....must get more coffee....

I bet the u-bolt around the rear torsion bar slipped when they ratcheted the car down, or while en route??

the linkage to the leveling valve may be stuck or bent by the tie down, possibly a simple fix.
