Have an alum jack from Checker Auto?
Need someone who still has their paperwork for it.
I bought one last year. Cost $79 for a small aluminum jack, but I needed something small and light for off-site repairs to peoples cars. The first one failed in about a month, this one failed last week. Went to Checker, they said they couldn't find one in my long list of items I've purchased there. Went home and dug through last years parts receipts. Actually found it. Went to Checker, then they said "Oh, our jacks only have a 90-day warrantee, sorry." This one specifically had a 1-year warrantee (that's why it was $79 for a small jack, instead of $12.88), but of course I can't find ANYTHING with the warrantee info on it. Now I'm REALLY pissed. I've only used this a dozen times if that. It's only for roadside repairs when people break down and I need to get under something, most of the time it sits in the basement or the truck bed. $79 for probably LESS than a dozen times of going up and down and they won't honor the warrantee. So..., if anyone has one of these (1-1/2 ton Aluminum jack), can you see if you can find your warrantee info that came with it? Or maybe a pic of the box it came in? It's worth a few parts to me (email me with requests) just to be able to take them to small claims with the proper info and win. Am posting a copy of the orig receipt for the jack here so that when it's out of warrantee and they try to say "sorry, the year is up", I can prove that I tried to resolve this BEFORE the year was up (next week.) Just checked their website and they have this same one listed at $14.99!! They must be getting rid of these things, probably because of this same issue. Problem is, the page doesn't say anything about warrantee.

Just open up a box at the dealer and check the enclosed warranty information. Another method I would use with unethical retailers is to buy another one and return the broken one a week later for a refund. But like the checking of warranty since you probably do not want another one anyways if they are that fragile. Poor jacks can be dangerous.
