Ahh, C'mon Leathermang, that car looks like it'd be worth the plane fare out to CA, and drive it home. It's a cherry example to be sure.

Brian, are you offering the fare out there ? LOL
You have more experience traveling out of State to bring back cars... but then you sell them to others... much easier to leave them there.... LOL

What do you all think this car will go for on ebay? I have seen some like this go between $4000-8000, even more, then some go for 2-3000 and I dont understand why? any ideas

I imagine you will get more than $4k for it easy.
Beautiful example and good luck with the sale.

If I had the time and money, I would have already left.

Yeah, I hate that I've gotten into that habit. It's a very expensive one at that. Methinks I'll be haning on the the 300D though.

Andrew was kind enough to drop off some doors for me at my office. This car is really clean and the paint is in great shape. With the stick shift, this car should get great mileage. I found a few other 240's on ebay two of which had that hideous avocado green paint (sorry to rain on someone's parade, but that green is fugly). Andrews is that really nice cream color, keeps the heat down in the summer. Only thing I would add would be some mildly tinted rear windows. Great example of a classic diesel.

Funny, I love that avocado green paint. I almost bought an avocado wagon a year or so ago. Wish I would have too after having this wagon for a year! It is the unique-ness of the color, not the actual pleasing palet of said avocado green that is appealing.

Thanks Eric, I cant wait to see your 300D all fixed up with new doors and paint. Only thing now is a veggie conversion for you MBZ. Let me know when you are ready to start saving money. Hmm $50wk times 52 weeks=$2600X10years=$26,000 Hey it could work out to 1 year of university tuition for one of your kids as long as you dont send them USC! Then we would be talking semester tuition
