Time to fess up, I bought a 140

Folks,

I was looking around last fall for a nice 140 diesel, looked at several and they all had problems. Around New Years I convinced myself to invest back into my SDL and keep it a while. Then about 2 months ago I was cruising EBAY and a 93 300 SD was there, a short auction, and from a dealer. I called and got the service records, pretty good. The car had 134K on it and is in nice shape. I've put about 4K on it so far and all is working out, so I am going to let my 87 SDL go. Look for a for sale notice later if I get the picture thing straightened out.

Here's hoping I live through the triple whammy of a 3.5L, 140, and ebay.

Chuck

Well I'm hoping I got it cheap enough to finance any upcoming repairs. The business mileage I get should also help offset that as well. So far, so good including an 800 mile trip to Nashville.

Nice car, Chuck, and I love the color.

What is it called? Spruce Green?

Thanks,

It is in nice shape, I think pictures always hide a few sins. Fine for me and the family. I do believe the color is called spruce green.

I'm not good at thinking up pet names for my cars, but spruce goose or green goblin both seem like appropriate places to start.

Nice car! I'd like to upgrade to a W140 eventually as well.

Nice car. I have to admit that I wouldn't mind upgrading my 300sdl to a 140 diesel.
Good luck with it!
