What does this switch do?(pic included)

This switch is on my center console, next to my sunroof switch but I have no clue as to what it does. I cannot find a replacement for it anywhere and havent seen any other Benz with this switch. My best guess is that is changes the angle on the headlights, but I dont think it is working and how would it change the angle? vaccum??

If anyone has any info on this switch it is greatly appreciated.

I have a switch that looks exactly like that one on my 1979 450SEL. It is next to the headlight switch and is, indeed, the headlight angle switch for the Euro lights on my Euro 450SEL. The lights do work on vacuum as you surmise. My switch works and the lights can be adjusted, but I very seldom have used it. I have other switches that are unusual on the 450. There is a compressor switch for the A/C and there is a kill switch next to that. These are located below the headlight switch.

Well my signature was a bit off, it is a 80' 300D, Grey market or European, but without euro headlights. I am going to take the switch off and try to see what the vaccum line on the back looks like so I can trace it under the hood.

vacuum hose

if you look behind the headlamps, on either side you will find two purple vacuum lines those are the ones running from the switch inside the car.
