Little throttle linkage part missing
2 Attachment(s)
I was under the hood yesterday, and I noticed that in the guide lever, the roller does not look quite right, as if part of it is missing. I have a picture of my guide lever and roller, and a picture of a guide lever and roller from the Haynes Manual. You'll see what I'm talking about. What's the part number for a new roller? That is if I need one.
Thanks, -Joe |
There is a white plastic roller over the pin held on with an E clip.
The setting should allow you to operate the STOP lever without binding the linkage......ie, there should be a gap behind the roller when throttle closed. Is that white grease crap all over the linkage ? Wipe it off and use engine oil....yuk :D ______________________________________________________________ |
I would say it would be good to have the roller for a smoother/less wear linkage. Sorry I can't help with the part number.....Seems like you could fab one out of something on your desk or lying around the basement....I could prolly get some measurements from mine if that would be helpful.

Thanks for the help, I've got everything working right now, I went to the MB dealership parts dept., and $1.52 later, everything's as smooth as glass now, it even shifts smoother.

I'm new to Mercedes and find this very impressive. (that cheap little parts are availble as opposed to just the whole bloody assembly)
