Replaced both fuel filters without the primer pump.
I just realized my primer pump is bad (ordered a new one) but in the meantime, my filters clogged since I just began running on WVO.
I filled the tank first with my 85/15 wvo/kero blend first, then backed my car up my driveway, which is fairly steep. After removing the old small filter, I plugged the straight end of the new one in and the filter filled up due to the tank being higher. Then I reattached the angled end. Then I pulled the big filter off. I filled the new filter with WVO - it took a couple of minutes to really soak in. After installing the big filter, I cranked it and it started right up. I ran it at about 1500 rpm and it was a bit rough for a few seconds, but smoothed out. So, if you ever have to replace your filters and the primer doesn't work, just find a hill! |
