Picking up SWMBO's '84 300D today
It's finally here......We're picking up SWMBO's 84 300D today.
She's so excited she's mowing the yard!! Bummer that we have to tow it in, but the radiator is leaking like a sieve. Well, at least I'm excited about it! |

No new pictures yet, but what a plethora of paperwork!
Ihave the original protect-o-plate, the original window sticker, all the maintenance records....wow....third owner. Runs great for the 5 minutes I'm able to run it. Gonna go pull the radiator now. |

Nice car, I was looking at one almost identical last year before I found mine. I love that color combination!
|
Like that black interior...gets hot as heck under the sun, but I still like it.
I'm sure she will love it. |
He got it at a real bargain.... and anyway.....that is what naugapaint is for...

Yep, it's a blue MBTex interior with only a couple of stress cracks on the drivers seat, otherwise it's almost like new.
Found out today that the PO's, PO must have had a wreck in it. The same area I have to fix has indications of previous bodywork. Appears that the front fender was replaced, along with some parts (The turn signal has bright blue writing that says 123-R). The rubber that is on top of the bumper has a metal form that is rust city, so not sure where the donor parts came from, but I guess I'll have to repaint that. I also found out that, even though it blows cold air, the condensor needs to be replaced as it's concave (I saw this before, but it didn't register). Anyways, here are some more pictures after pulling parts all day today: |

One last shot showing the earlier repair to the inner fender well.
Edited to say "Duh" I already put this one up above... Let me put the real picture up...of my Condensor.....nasty looking.... |
