I seem to have found myself in a predicament of too many cars. Currently 8 vehicles reside here, 7 mercedes and one fugly old corolla. Coming next Saturday is the 300SD from ebay, and I was going to pick up an 83-84 300D nearby for cheap to fix and sell, but now I have been presented with another opportunity.
My friend went to see an 87 300SDL today and the guy selling it also has an 560(sel sec?) he wants to give away. I'll be going to look at it in the morning, it does however have a seized engine. Anyways shortly after purchasing it, the previous owner took the car to a 'custom' shop where he proceeded to spend $50-freakin-thousand dollars on it in customizations. Stuff including a shot glass compartment in the instument cluster(!?) and tv's in the dash and seats etc... needless to say, from what he told me over the phone it sounds like I'll be taking it with me.

Back to my problem. I have a good acre of land here but would rather not just park cars out in the backyard, as it seems kinda junky. 11 cars might be pushing it . A second garage is being planned for the future, but for now any ideas on some kind of makeshift carports I can build? Not the plastic/vinyl ones in tool catalogs or necessarily the pre fab kits from 84 lumber or home depot, but I'd like to hear from anyone with thoughts or if you built something yourself already and how its working out for you. I'd like to get the cars out of sight.
