Hi guys, I am a new 2nd hand sprinter owner and have had a problem for 6 months and don't know what to do! Even my local dealer doesn't know how to rectify it. Then while driving along then and backing off, the EDC light comes on and the engine dies. (Not however every time I back off) When I stop, after a couple of seconds I can restart the engine as normal and drive with no problems for a while. (Until it happens again, randomly.) The injection pump has been overhauled by Mercedes, and double checked. Before the overhaul their computer code numbers P1220 and P1223 appear. What does this mean? Should the overhaul of my injection pump have solved these codes? What else can I do? It happens on average of 5 time a day. It's so frustrating!! The Mercedes dealer drove it for 230 km's with no problem. I drove it for 35km's and it stalled 8 times.

I have exactly the same problem, drives perfectly then dies, i have decoded it, the code P1622 comes up which means the INJECTION PUMP SHUT-OFF SOLINOID, i have changed it twice, but it makes no difference.
Any out there with a solution.
