Aux fan died....

Well, I guess I've tried to position myself as the fan guy, but not like this.
Wouldn't you know it, I sent the aux fan from my parts car, along with an old style clock to someone last week. And what do I find today? My aux fan is toast on the '85. The front bearing is bad, and the brushes look scary. I think they would probably be OK, but they look like they got very hot, due to said bad front bearing.
I just thought I'd post some pics of the toasted fan, as I always like to see pics myself.

**fyi**
pic 3 is the front plate with the bad bearing

I understand, but I'm guessing someone will help me like I helped someone else. There are certain things that we all probably hold on to, but I didn't think the aux fan would toast itself.
Did I read somewhere where the AC won't work without the aux fan operational? (not that the AC works anyway )

What are you complaining about ?
All the fan looks great except the bearing...
check the archives.... someone even posted the bearing number or size... about $7 to fix it....
Get back to worrying about the SMOKER.... now THAT is a hard problem....

Here, read this..

I had the fortunate demise of finding that my Aux. Fan wasn't working becuase the brand new brushes that had apparently been put in got stuck.

That van didn't even have brush dust inside it...I popped those loose and its been working great ever since!

Will you be able to clean up that brush holder? Its pretty funky..

I think the brush area is as bad as the front bearing. Very burnt in there, and the brushes don't currently 'spring'.
I did not however, search for the fix. Guilty as charged. I posted more to provide pics of said fans demise, and, considering it's couple of malady's, figured a different one was the order of the day.
