Need help wiring a power mirror . . . .

My 240D only came with a drivers side rear view mirror. So I went out and looked and found a power passenger side mirror as well as a power mirror switch and connector on E-bay. I'm by no means knowledgable in wiring things together, but figured how hard could this be. I figured I could just connect the same colored wires from the switch to the mirror and then find a power source & ground. No such luck! The power mirror has 3 wires Grey, White & Black. The switch has 2 brown wires, black, white, ( I was doing this from memory and forgot the other 2 wire colors) anyhow, I assume 2 of the wires go to power & ground (looks like brown & black). That leaves 4 wires to connect to 3 wires . . . Arrrrrrrg!
From my poor description, can anyone help? If someone knows how these wires should connect together, please share the knowledge.

Check out this site, http://mb.braingears.com/. You should be able to find a wiring diagram there. Look under the W123 300D turbo model.

I tried the web site and the 240D and 300D years that I tried all ended up not able to display . . .

If someone knows what color wires connect to what, that would be great!

Progress so far . . .

Here is what I have done so far. I used an old 12V power supply and played random wire splicing until it seems to work. I'm not sure if it is correct!

The connector for the switch has the following configuration:
pin# --- color of wire
1 ------ 2 brown
2 ------ green
3 ------ empty
4 ------ red
5 ------ black
6 ------ white

Here's what seemd to work as far as wire splicing:
Mirror ------ Switch
Grey ------ Green
White ------ Red & Brown
Black ------ White

Switch To Power Source
Black (+) and Brown (-)

Has anyone else done this?

Took a look at a 1984 schematic. Switch wire #1 (brown/green) goes to mirror #2. Switch wire #2 (brown) goes to ground. Switch #3 is not used. Switch #4 (white) goes to mirror #3 (white). Switch #5 (green) goes to mirror #1. And switch #6 (black/green) goes to fues #4, which is hot in accesory, run, and start. Mirror terminal #1 looks to be the common wire for the two mirror motors.

KCM, thanks for your time on this. I was reading another post this morning and found out why the website would not work for me. I was using FireFox for my web browser and it will not open the pages . I currently have IE running in another window and am trying to open the pages now.

I really do appreciate your assistance!!! Once I get the site open, I don't know if I could make sense of the wiring diagram or not.

Thanks again for your help!
