Brake parts cleaner in turbo

I was cleaning my air filter housing, when I decided to spray some carb cleaner in the turbo. I grabbed the brake parts cleaner instead by accident. what should I do? Can this mess anything up?

A little carb cleaner probably won't hurt anything. What you worry about is removing oil off the cylinder walls and possible scoring. If I were in this position, I would squirt some engine oil into the turbo intake and start the car. Thinking the oil will mix and coat the cylinder walls, but I'm just paranoid I guess it.

be carefull with brake clean and diesels! they will rev up on their own (when running) and knock and ping like crazy!

My friend cleaned his 300D's air filter out with brake clean, and then put it back on the car and started the engine... you can imagine what it sounded like next. took about 15 seconds after the key was off for the engine to stop and it backfired loudly when it finally did.

I'd let that stuff air out awhile before attempting to start your engine

Evaporates quicker into the air.

I would let it sit for awhile open to the air and call it good.
No worries.
