temp sending unit location
 
Searched the engine bay, couldn't find it, searched the archives, still couldn't find it. Can someone please tell me exactly where to look for the temp sending unit on a 1980 240d?

On the injector side of the engine between 3rd and 4th injector has a larger nut on the base and looks like one between the 1st and 2nd injector which is the sensor for your glow plugs.

Is there a difference between these two sensors?
 
My '77 240D has the rearmost one connected to the temperature gauge....
