Found '85 190D 2.2 FOR $400

Hi Friends,

I found a 1985 190D 2.2 automatic with 150,000 miles on it for $400 in my area. The body is in good condition so is the interior. All the windows go up and down without a problem. The trans slips in drive some but shifts fine when you put it in 3rd. The fan blade turns very easily so I think it needs a new fan clutch. The sunroof switch is missing and the a wiper switch stalk needs to be replaced. The car is tagged til 11/06. What do you think? It is worth $400? What kind of mpg does it get?

I sold my daughter's 84 190 2.2 automatic for $1450, engine had cooked the rings because she got it really hot. I told the guy the engine was bad, he explained to me that I didn't know what I was talking about, he had decided it was just the glow plugs.

Sounds like $400 was a pretty good deal.
