What are the technical aspects of turbocharging a NA diesel?
If i were to ever want to turbocharge my 2.2 D motor would i have to do alot more then just customize the exhaust, and oil feed the turbo?
Im not looking for ridiculus horsepower and torque...just a little bit more power, thinking no intercooling or anything...kind of like the 2.5TD. |

just wait till the 2.2 conks out, then get the 2.5 turbo for it. the turbo engines have internal modifications it would cost you a decent ammount of money to make to your engine.

The injection pump of a NA MB Diesel has no way to respond to increased airflow.
Sell your car and get a 190D 2.5t if that's what you want. Sixto 95 S420 87 300SDL |

all of the
above posts may sound harsh but the bottom line is as they say. too many modifications and too much cost to justify the work. now if your car is an automatic, a stick conversion especially if something goes bad in your auto is not too far out of line and will make a big difference in performance, imho.
