Brake caliper interchangeable, early & late W126?
I got a pair ATE brake calipers from a 88 420SEL. I'd like to try it on my 83 SD which has the Bendix caliper. Tried the brake pads and it fits, but why is the part number different when I check the parts web site? Does late model caliper accomodates thicker rotor?

I don't think they are interchangeable, the 83 SD does not have anti-lock brakes while the 88 420SEL does.
