Oil Pressure at cold start
I am not sure if this is normal or not, but I just realized that after a cold start in the morning, it takes 3 seconds for the oil pressure gauge to start moving and to reach 3 (pegs). Otherwise my oil pressure is normal, and the car runs fine. I use Mobil-1 15W50. I also changed the two "O" rings on the oil filter stem a while back.
I think that it use to peg much faster than its current 3 seconds on a cold start. On a warm start it pegs almost immediately. Is that 3 seconds delay on a cold start, after seating for a few hours normal? Thanks Phil

That doesn't sound right, its a bit slow....even in the dead of winter here at 10 degrees with Rotella 15w40 in my 617 it still pegs 3 in two seconds or less (once its firing). Maybe your oil pressure sender is defective......I'd suspect that before I'd think there's any oil pump problem.
