85 mercedes 300D brake pad sensor?
I recently bought a 85 300D that had the brake pad sensor light on. So I installed new pads, the old pads had worn into the sensors some but I just put them into the new pads to try it. The light seems to still stay on? I figure the ends where messed up when they were worn down. I just want the light to got out, can I just unplug the wires? thanks for any help

You need to get new sensors - cost a buck or two each. Until then, you can remove the old ones.

When the sensor hits, it will wear off the plastic on top. From that point on, putting on new brake pads probably won't make the problem go away. I think this is cheap (all it is is a wire to ground, essentially), ingenious, and I wonder why all cars STILL don't have them.

1st gear start
I have wondered if there is an easy way to make a 85 300D start in first gear?
