W124 jackstand points
 

Dieselbeagel showed me the jackstand points on his W124. Where the W126 and W140 have rubber hockey pucks this W124 had holes. Not rust holes but something that looks like it's meant to take a conical tip from a hoist arm or jackstand. Is this how W124s come or did the familiar pucks wash off in a flash flood making DB think he got a deal?

Sounds like that car is missing the pads. The holes are for the male end of the jack pad to lock into. The 124 pads are flat and shaped differently than those on the 126. Replacement is easy - place new pad on floor jack, position below mounting hole and raise floor jack, pressing the new pad in.

Missing jack pads makes sense. I will look into getting some.

I ran a carfax on it, before the purchase, and it came back clean.
