I had an '84 GMC Surburban with the 6.2....the PO never had used any additives. I used Power Service in it and my mileage [19.7 MPG at first]increased to a max of 23 MPG.
Don't know if it has helped any of my MBZ diesels though. Have always used PS plus cetane boost in them since day one.

read all the posts above. my $.02 anyway. i use standard diesel injector cleaner from time to time and four or five ounces of marvel mystery oil especially in winter in each of my diesels. never any cetane boost. seems like a waste of $ to me.
