Best place to buy W123 Euro Lights

Now that I'm keeping my 300D, I want to get the euro headlights (non-circular). I know they can be found all over ebay - is there certain sellers I should stay away from, certain sellers that have a great product, or are they all pretty much the same thing? Or is there even somewhere off ebay that has a good deal?

There are these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33710&item=7987898939

These:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33710&item=7987859851

And these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33710&item=7987640818

The third one has the highest buy it now, but they have the lowest starting bid... so I might be able to get those for $149.99 provided no one else bid on them. Just looking for some input here, thanks!

Whatever you do, stay away from Germanparts (an ebay seller). I just got my headlights in, which were delayed by the fact that the idiot didn't put my apt. # in the ship to address...and they are broken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I'm going to cry

Damn, that sucks. I'll be sure not to order from them! Thanks for that info!

As I looked at these three again.. the second one (from seller ivm1) - it comes with the clear corner lights as well as the euro headlights for $185 buy it now. The other two are charging around $30 for clear corners. Seems like a good deal but it looks kind of shady. The third seller has 100% positive feedback, and looks to have the best product.

You get what you pay for, and it's better to pay a little more for the Bosch or Hella headlights...

The seller, ivm1, is Import Vision Motorsport. They are a reputable seller of many European products, both on and off e-bay.

I purchased the Euro headlights for the SDL directly from them, without e-bay:

www.importvision.com

You can be confident that the product and the packaging will be good.

Awesome - thanks! I'll probably be getting them soon... maybe within a couple weeks. I am also thinking about paiting my grille inserts black.. and then I have plans to straight pipe and do a custom intake. I'm hoping to have it all done by November or so....

I just looked on their website and the euro headlights with the clear corners are $215. I'm assuming they are the same thing as on their ebay auction, which are buy it now for $185....

Ohhhh.. and looking even more - I found they have smoked taillights! I have been searching all over for those... seeing them on JohnHef's car makes me want them... his 300CD is sweeeeeeet.

They sell on e-bay with some special deals on occasion. Just check to be sure the extent of delivery is the same. They don't normally provide the plug and the bulbs, however.

I see that now that they don't provide plugs... I'm not worried about blubs because I am going to use Silverstars no matter what.... do you know where I could find plugs?

I got a set of Lucid lights from a guy here...TypeJR I think his id was...in Canada...New they were cheaper than very used old Hella or Bosche...

He has them every now and then up on parts...I'm happy with them. And the price was better than anyone on Ebay. And I got them with plugs....

(bump)
OK I found a set of DEPO lights, but am faced with the same thing, looking for the plugs that fit Euro headlights. The dealer was looking into it but has no clue what I am talking about.
Does anybody know if the plugs are used on a US model? if so, do you have a P/N?

Reid, try these part numbers at the dealer:

qty (2) - 006 545 80 28 - six-pin electrical connector, socket - $2.40 each

qty (2) - 009 545 30 28 - six-pin electrical connector, cover - $3.00 each

They should be the same plugs as the taillights, so, the part numbers should be good.

Report back if they are correct. This was from a couple of years ago.

Hi, THANKS much, Brian!!
I'll let you know what they sell me - I just completed a search under the hood of a C class car looking for something similar but forgot about the taillights!

Is there any way you can post a picture of them? You will get lots of interest I am sure.
Also post on the PARTS section and see what action that brings!
