A/C fresh air / recirc air, vacuum control

I found that mine is only operating in the fresh air mode. With 100 degree outside temps, this has a huge impact on interior temp. For the time being, I popped the arms and locked it to 100% recirculation and expect interior temps to drop a great deal.

In a week or so, I guess I will look for the source of the problem.

You were so close. Check if the pods hold vacuum. 2 pods x 2 chambers each to check.

But....if it turned out to be the pods in the dash...I don't think I could have taken it.

I changed the interior, replaced the trans, changed the compressor clutch and pulley and recharged the A/C (which has not worked in a year)

and............

Just want to drive it in comfort

For awhile

Pods in the dash? The recirc pods are the ones behind the glove box.

You're right, the problem could be upstream of the pods.

I meant the 6 or so vacuum control valves in the dash. Most likley will require pulling the center console. Dash Been there Done that.

Hey,
Is it true that when the dial is set to the MIN position the AC system uses 100% recycled air?

Can anyone confirm this?
