tachometer
Last year, I tried the cigarette filter in the tach amplifier trick and it worked intermittantly.
I took the amp off recently, I noticed that the filter flattened into a "pancake". I replaced the filter with a rubber washer (hose washer) and I put some dielectric (sp) grease on the contacts and I've had better luck these past few weeks. Just thought I would pass it on. Dwayne |

My little wad of paper under the cap lasted about 2 weeks before it flattened and didnt' work. I replaced the wad with a bigger one....and it's working again. I'll probably try something more substantial if and when this wad fails......
