E320 Cdi Wagon?
Does anybody know, why MB does not offer the Wagon with the diesel engine, only a sedan, could not get a answer from the dealer, usually the Wagon follows 1-2 years later the sedan's introduction.

Probably pure economics. MB likes pushing the 4-Matic wagons and introducing a CDI wagon would cut into their market share. The engineering involved might return on the investment with the CDI wagon sales. Just my guess...

Those wagons are for sale in Europe with multiple CDI versions: 2.0,2.7,3.2,I dont remember 1 gas version of the E wagon,95% is diesel, wagon or sedan...if you go to MB page Germany/Deutschland,you can easy build a wagon diesel C or E or S sedan diesel...

I seem to recall reading somewhere that Daimler-Chrylser is planning on offering a E320 CDI wagon in the US sometime in 2006. I'm not sure where I read the info. though.

I also heard they will have one in 2006, once the cleaner diesel is available I bet a whole lot more diesels will be arriving from MB as well as other companies like Honda/Toyota possibly etc.....since they will be able to sell them nationwide.

I talked to a Mercedes rep about this (not the dealer). Their answer was that with our current emissions laws, they can only sell a certain number of diesels a year and the sedan pretty much fills all the available slots up. As soon as the laws get changed (2006?) they will be introducing a diesel wagon, as well as a few other models. It's just a matter of time folks.
