Are 96-up Diesels OBD II compliant?
Are they? Just curious.

Look for the diagnostic port under the dash. A few slipped through the cracks somehow like some GM S10s.
I'd bet my money on MB being OBDII for '96

My '96 has a port under the dash (near the parking brake), but I haven't used it.
