87 300D, what is black box under glove box
87 300D euro version non-turbo
i was trying to locate a leak when i happened upon a black computer box thingy under the glove box, what's it for? it looks like a computer box... though i don't know for what... i thought 603s weren't computer controlled at all.

Do a search under GSXR, he's the king of the 300D 87
I dont know whether its the computer or not, but there is a computer there, mostly for emissions (thats what GSXR told me...) but if its got audio leads someone may have stuck their amp there. If its got a a real Mercedes plug, it could be the computer, but they aren't black--they are grey

Don't know what that might be. That spot was empty on my U.S. spec 87. The engine computer is under the hood, behind the battery. It shares space with the ABS computer and the dreaded Klima relay and OVP.
