Do a search for how to install an hood insulation pad and what adhesive to use. If the pad is as good as it appears you will probably only need to re-glue those spots that have come lose.

Use 3m super duty adhesive, it is designed for this type of environment, easy of application and durability. You should reglue the hoodpad make sure to apply to both sides, let stand 10 min and then adhere.

As to euro lights, you will make a hUGE improvement in visibility, as well as updateing the look with drop in assemblies.

Good luck

i am guessing

you maybe were talking of euro bumpers. and i dont know if that is a bolt on but i would assume it is. and the only good solution to the rusty chrome part is replacement. if you are really on a budget you could scrape off the rust and rust bond it and paint silver.

i prob would peel off the hood pad. they deteriorate and if it isnt already it soon will be. if you do take an old blanket and lay over the engine to keep the residue off the engine.

My question is what made the hood pad come off to begin with? Mostly it is caused by diesel getting on it. If thats the case then toss the pad and be sure to clean/degrease the hood before installing your new pad.

I fixed my fuel leak before installing the new pad. It was only the return lines to the injectors spraying all over while under the heavy load of my foot.

Cheers,

Bill

3M 8090 adhesive for the hood pad. If the foam is crumbly, remove it. I would try to find another taillight so they match - looks like the right side one has a thin plate behind it - you want it to seal so rainwater does not collect in trunk. I'm not a fan of changing my car's parts just for looks, although I know other people are. Too many things in my life need fixing that are actually broken.

That's a picture of a clear/red W126 tail light pasted onto a photo of his car, not an actual tail light, he did that so you could choose which one you prefered.

Oh, duh, sorry. I prefer whatever operational, fitting taillight is already there.

Most W126 bumpers seem to rot from the bottom up. Replacing the chrome is the only fix.
