Unknown parts found and disconnected part...What are they?

I have attached two photos. The first one is of two parts that I found sitting right where the oil filter housing is bolted to the block. What are they and where do they belong? The second is of the part that was disconnected. There is a rod that connects to the vacuum contoller (I believe it is the shut off, please correct me if I am wrong) on the injection pump and goes towards the bottom of the motor. This rod was disconnected from the vacuum operated part. What does this part do and is it supposed to have a clip holding the rod to the lever? Maybe the plastic part in the first photo the clip? Any help would be great.

Thanks
Andrew

The black rubber piece is a cushion the goes on a hose to prevent the hose from rubbing on the chassis, etc., and chafing. The plastic piece looks like part of a clip for the accelerator linkage. It secures the accelerator linkage at the injection pump. But it's broken; that's only half of the clip.

Plastic clip is the retainer for accelerator linkage to the vacuum valve on the top of the injection pump that controls bleed vacuum to the transmission.
At some positions the rod will fall off without the retainer.

The 'cut off' canister is attached to the rear of the injection pump and has one vacuum line from the fire wall to it. It is actuated by vacuum applied to it when you turn off the ignition key. It pulls the rack to the 'no fuel' position.

That hose cushion is in my opinion intended to be at the coolant hose that goes to the block between the oil filter housing and the injection pump. It provides protection from chaffing on the oil filter housing. I found mine somewhere in the bowels of the engine bay ars well...The plastic clip is as stated from the linkage at the rear of the vac. control valve. I just re-installed my vac. control valve last night so your picture is very familiar.

Mny thanks for the second picture! I was scratchicng my chin last night deciding which hard lione to plumb to the shut off valve. Your phot. clearly shows the brown w/purple stripe. I had concluded that this was the correct selection but am pleased to have the confirmation with leass searching.
