left headlight won't work

85 300D left headlight fizzeled out and went all kind of milky looking inside. The bright was still working then it went to. I replaced the bulb but it doesn't come on. Dim or bright. All other lights work including right side headlight.
Any suggestions as to what may be the problem?

Kevinlee

You may want to pull the bulb out and look in there. Maybe you got some water in it

Check your fuse.

Looks can be deceptive. Are they new or older fuses?

I put new fuses in. Still doesn't work.

This seems like it should be a simple fix, but I don't know what it is.

This is ancient but I'm curious if you resolved the issue? I have a 280E with euro lights but it seems like the same problem. The front left headlight doesn't work unless on high beams. Neither foglights works under any situation. I've replaced fuses, headlights/foglights and even took apart every connection inside the headlight, sanded away corrosion and re-connected them all. Still no left headlight.
