Squeals like a Pig........

I have an 83 300CD and did the brakes over completely...new everything and used Pagid Pads. They squeal like crazy so I took all the pads out and coated the back of the pads with Disc Brake Quiet and it helped somewhat. They still squeal.....Am I missing something....

I used OEM Pads and they squeal at random, sometimes not at all, sometimes it will squeal for a week, then stop. And its either front or rear....either one will squeak at random.... I've just learned to ignore it.....when it is doing it....

I used the original Mercedes pads before with the Mercedes paste; no squealing at all, they seem to be very soft, they were completely used up after 7 months.

Chamfer the edges of the pads a little. I have learned to live with my squeel. Sometimes it is there, sometimes it isn't.

I didn't use any paste....but they are still about 50% to 60% left, and I have over 12k/1.2 years on them now....I'll probably have to change them next summer.

I don't start thinking about my brakes until I have trouble stopping; then I consider maybe looking into getting new pads.

Bad flex hoses and/or calipers can do this.
Do you have the anti rattle hardware installed???

I put in new flex hoses and all the calipers were new rebuilds from a reputable place. Anti rattle pieces in place.....
