Found 2 Vacuum Leaks
Found a couple of vaccuum leaks so I thought I'd share them with everyone.
The first was a biggie on the four way split near the brake master cylinder. The rubber had just reached it's limits, easy job. The next was an interesting one. With the key switch on I tested the line and it was not holding vacuum. The lines worked to shut the motor off so the lines should be good and they were. The lines on the back of the key switch had been reversed allowing vacuum from the motor to be released at the key switch while running. I reversed the lines under the dash at the key switch and vacuum in the system increased to almost normal. The idea of the key switch leaking the vacuum, it should release vacuum on the shut off diaphragm side when in the run position. I thought this one was odd enough to post. Vacuum had been running at about 8 inches and less, now it has increased to about 15 inches. Once I fix the central locking system vacuum should increase to the potential of the pump which tested out at approx 22 inches vacuum.
