Mass or Volume Air Flow

I attemped to do a search in this forum but my search function appears to not be working properly this morning. Maybe this is due to Friday night's crash.

My check engine light on my 99 E300 70K came on over the weekend while driving at highway speed....70 mph. It was very wet outside. Code # P0100 Mass or volume air flow circuit malfunction. I reset the DTC and it has not come back on in 12 miles of around town driving. However, I sense the acceleration of the car is slightly reduced. May be my imagination???

Any thoughts regarding which part may have caused the malfunction and if I should do some preventative maintenence or more investigation before the winter.

If you will trade that car in on a low 1980's 123 we will have a better chance of being able to help you...

Go to Alldata.com and plug in your car's specs..
this will give you a list of safety recalls and TSB titles...

see if anything pops up which sounds like they have posted a cure for your probleml

Post this to the tech help section... of this forum...

Check with your dealer...
