Any have start of delivery "tool" Austin, TX

I need to set the IP's start of delivery in my 83 300sd...anyone in Austin, TX have the tool to loan out? I know its not that expensive, but thought I'd ask before I went to buy one.

If its local I will try to barrow...if not I will just go and buy one.

Thanks

PS didn't see one on the "list" besides it'd be cheaper to end up buying then dealing with the shipping.

By tool do you mean the one which bolts into the IP... or the cut off delivery line bent over for seeing the once per second drip ?

If you have an old line all you have to do is cut it and bend it into an upside down U.

Good luck,

I don't have the tool that screws into the IP, and looks like an ovewrsized nut with a plunger. I do have the drip tube tool that screws into the #1 delivery valve on IP. In fact, I used it just the other week to adjust IP timing, and found the whole process to be actually quite easy (seeing lots of posts from confused people made me think this is hard). You are welcome to borrow it, drop me an e-mail if you do.

If we ever have an Austin or Dallas GTG you need to bring the tool and demonstrate this adjustment. just a thought......

Well, this is definitely the right time of the year to have a GTG in Central TX. The weather just doesn't get any better than it was today. I'm sitting on a patio right now, it's clear and 78F -- crickets singing, no mosquitoes. I can demo a few things at a GTG, chiefly "things to not do to your car" and "learn by bad example".

If we all demo'd those kinds of things we have done we would not have any time to eat or drink....
