looking at 87 300D................
Hey guy first post here I spend lots of time over at dieselstop, big Ford diesel guy looking to buy a car and I really want a diesel. I found a 87 300D 205k one owner (was told super clean and straight)
 was told it needs rear control arm bushings, ac blows warm and abs light is on. I wont be able to look at car for a couple of weeks so i have time to research. Price is under five thousand. What should I look for any trouble spots and this is the six cyl turbo correct? Any trouble with these and a best guess on the abs light. Thanks for any help in advacne, if I dont get this one I will be searching for another as I want a diesel and these cars seem to fit the bill.

You shouldn't have to pay anywhere near $5k. More like $3, if the body is in good shape.

Hey I just bought 1, feel free to email me if you get it. Always good to keep in touch with other 124 owners, there aint many of us!
I like it so far. Nicer body than 123. Only problem I see so far is every gawddamn thing is electronic on the interior, and none of it works reliably. Cruise control, climate control, windows, locks, telescoping steering wheel,...anything electronic is flaky. Engine itself seems good though. HAd to replace water pump, pretty easy, cheap.
