check the shutoff solenoid...make sure the vacuum line is still there, its not sucking oil adn that if it gets vacuum when you turn key off then the shutoff valve is bad..if it gets no vacuum with key turned off start tpo look further back..

it is the round thing with th evacuum line on the back of the IP....(facing the oil filter tower)

Turn the key off and it feeds vacuum to that pulling a fuel shutoff...internal to the IP.....

look here...

i think thats it.

i pulled the vaccume line off and there is a bit of oil on the nipple. and when the car is running and key off i still get vaccume from the line. i guess this part is bad. do u know if it can be fixed or a rough cost on the part.

thanks again,

dave

Current price $66.50 from Phill at fastlane......put a mightyvac on the shut off valve... it should hold vacume...if it doesn't then its bad.....you will suck motoroil into the vacuum system when the diaphram fails.

the solenoid only has ONE line going to it....its the round thing.....on the back...
the other two go to the plastic thing on top that meters vacuum for the transmission. the shutoff vacuum line goes back to the firewall,

The vacuum valce on top has one that goes to trans modulator and the other feeds via a T into the vacuum lines from the vacuum pump...different lines different purpose.

yes...on the very back.....the squarish thing on top is the ALDA...the yellowish plastic thing with two lines is the vacume valve...the roud metal canister sticking out the back is the shut off solenoid. And yes I remember it being a brown line at the firewall....mine has a clear piece sliced in before the shutoff valve.
