w210 E300 LED Fog lamps --- Pix

Converted my fog lamps from an H1 base to an 1157 - Since I added the HID retrofit the fog lamps have been useless. I yearned for some yellow lamps for the city lights like on the 300D's. But I also love the amber DRL on the CTS's, so I figured I try to make the fog lights like those on the CTS -

Enjoy! The city lights also have an amber LED. Yes, I get the lamp malfunction. Still working on elliminating that malfunction.

looks absolutely gorgeous man! how is your car treating you in regards to problems? I can't wait until I am older with some more money. I think as a mercedes collector everyone needs a w210.

Overall she is doing well. Since my possession of the vehicle I haven't had any real problems relating to faults of the car. I've put about 50,000 on it since I bought it and I had the crush washer leak soon after I bought it. My transmission statrted making a weird noise when in gear and at a complete stop. It was like a whining, I had a post about it a while ago. I had the transmission fluid changed and it helped it. It reduced but was still there. Recently I honestly don't remember hearing it. The transmission has performed the same throughout my ownership. I acquired the VMI report for the car from the dealer. Appears that the original owner held onto it just before 100K. There was a report of a the transmission slipping, and it was Goodwilled? I assume that the tranny was replaced.

I have some E55 springs that I have not gotten around to install. I wanna have the front spring perches checked out and repaired if need be before I mount the springs and get new tires. I've added some goodies to the vehicle to make her more enjoyable.

I've added:
- Dynamat to the entire trunk region, except the lid I believe
- added leather seats in the front w/ heat elements already in them, already had leather seats originally, added the OEM heated seats module and wiring harness, so it's all OEM
- upgraded the wheels to monoblock replica's
- retrofitted Audi A4 xenon projectors into halogen based headlamps
- added euro side turn signals to fenders
- upgraded the rear tail lamps to MY00+
- Leatherique'd the seating surfaces (big difference, patience required)
- clear side marker lenses
- tinted windows (35% charcoal)
- all weather MB mats
- misc chrome trim to interior
- Mobil Delvac 1 / Truck & SUV since I purchased @ approx. 123k
- rear brake rotors, Zimmerman x-drilled
- CCV mod
- EGR mod
- painted valve cover cover
- rebased fog lamps to accept 1157/1156 bulbs

--- SOON, to be chipped via SpeedTuningUSA

I gues you can say I really love the car. Anyone wanna buy it

I would put a parallel resistor around the LED lamps. You want the same current draw as the stock bulb. You might need something for the 1157s too. Are those monitored?

Have I mentioned how smooth the car runs on good fuel. Topped off with some B20 earlier today. It's like a new car.
