best of luck man!

This reminds me of a heilcoil nightmare on my brand new long block 1.9 liter TDI. I never remove my or anyone else's injectors without fresh bolts.

well

you got some bad advice about the block, it sounds like.

if it leaks again, you will need to bite the bullet and pull the motor down and have the block decked. sorry. but that is the only way i know of to deal with pitting on the sealing surface.

yeah, i guess if it had been an oil leak you prob might have gotten away with letting it leak for a long time without pitting the block.

i am very sorry to hear about this turn of events. you must be getting a bit discouraged.

as marty feldman said in that great classic movie "young frankenstein"... could be worse, .. could be raining.

Thanks guys, yeah, I'm digging in for the long haul to be sure. It seems to be a little noisier than I remember too. But it's been almost 6 months since it ran and I don't know if it's because I just don't remember it being that loud, or if the diesel fuel just needs to be refreshed with an additive and fresh fuel.
