3rd seat

I was wondering if all wagons are able to accept a third seat or would they have to have come off the line with them? thanks

I think they all can accept them. You just need to find one....

But really, why would anyone want one?? I mean, small seats = small people (children). These vehicles are at relative risk (even more than modern others) for rear end collisions. I wouldn't want my children to be looking 18 inches from the rear window as the local abnoxious Navigator, Yukon, Explorer plows over and through the rearend of my vehicle.

And I don't even have children, so sell me yours free for use in my next 300TD....

I know the W123's are all prepared to accept the seat. I did just that swap with a 82 300TD that had the rear seat and put it in the 82 300TD I intended to keep. Did that in 1993 and still have the TD

i have in the past

owned a td with third seat. my kids did ride back there. i do worry about the safety in a rear end collision. the back is supposed to collaps in the sedans to absorb a collision but what about the wagons?

i dont know what the desgin intent there is.

i agree that they will bolt in to any wagon. i havent tried it but am 98% sure it is true.
