Injector return fuel lines in '84 300D
The injectors look a little wet. It looks like the return lines are leaking. Does anyone know the interior diameter of these lines? It looks like they just slip over the little pipe. Is it as simple as it looks? Will I need to bleed the fuel system afterward or does it not matter as it is a return line?

Get the line from the dealer. Don't try to substitute something else. It comes in a length, and you cut it into segments to fit. It cost me a whopping ten dollars to do this on a five-cylinder.
It's as easy as it looks. Don't forget to also replace the small bit of tubing on the rearmost injector, reusing the plug. No purging needed. Whatever you do, don't touch those lines before you have the new hose in hand, unless you don't need to go anywhere or don't mind fuel running down the side of your block onto the bround. They get very fragile with age. |

I had the same problem on my 84 SD.
Buy the hose from this website. Its a very easy fix. |

Inflation must be hitting this part very hard. The last stick of return line hose that I got from FastLane was $3.95 if I remember correctly.
Good luck, |

No fastener required. Very tight fit over the fitting.
