Thumbs up PMARI is this it??

This is what I saw today at WestMarine

http://www.starbrite.com/whatsnew/2004%20BoatUS%20Ad%20(Startron).PDF

This is not the tank cleaner, although they had that too. Have you tried this additive as well. It looks awesome.
I get plugged filters often and need to find out why. I went through previous owners receipts and found my tank was dropped and cleaned at a radiaitor shop a few years back. My tank screeen is clean as of last weekend...but today after running 150 miles on 80/20 blend- with no water in it-and double filtered- 1 week settled WVO-; I still had to change out both filters because of a loss of power.....WTF?

Especially the paragraph on "Treating water in fuel".

Yes I tried that one first. Then I went to the tank cleaner.
I should have asked the guy on the phone if the tank cleaner has more enzyme in it. Check MSDS, I thnk they are the same.

Starbrite just recently introduced this product, They have licencing rights from a British company and the product was called Starron I believe. Anyway it has gotten rave reviews from Boatnicks, and if there is ever a diesel fuel problem, just talk to guys who run boats with diesels. Higest rate for condensation (especially metal tanks) and crappy fuel in general.

What type of stuff are you seeing in the filters? What type of WVO are you using?

Black specs in the primary, building up to form sludgy stuff.

WVO is currently from a Japaneese restaurant. They use 100% liquid veg oil. not Hydrogenated... They are emptying into 5 gallon pails direct from fryer for me. WVO in tank may have been used to fry both meats and veggies; but I found out they have 2 fryers and seperate meat and veggie dishes, so I am now getting just the veggie used oil.

Your oil sounds great, definitly seems like your tank and/or fuel lines are the culprit. How do your lines look?
Give them a squeeze as well as a visual inspection. If you see any seepage of they feel mushy, change them out.

Try switching back to running striaght diesel for at least 2 tanks with the startron tank cleaner in it. It has worked for me and I would love to see if you could reproduce the same results. It says to leave the product in the tank for at least 24 hours. It took me a week and half to burn a tank fuel so the product had plenty of time to work.
Have you run any biocide?

Tank screen is clean, so I'm guessing so is the tank.
I've checked lines under hood and the short line from tank screen to metal connector it goes to and those short lines are fine. I will check underside lines asap.
I'm gonna call Starbrite tomorrow and if necessary, switch back to dino for a tank or two....I would take me about a week and a half to burn a full tank too. g-night- and
I'll get back to ya's........

Arrow Spoke to Starbrite

Spoke to Starbrite and the techie says to run their Diesel treatment in with the RUG/WVO blend I am running....suggested 1 oz to 16 gallons....and 1 oz to 26 to maintain....The enzymes should do the job? We'll see
