Nice 300TD on eBay!

What do you think of the price on this one? I really want a wagon.

Anyone want to trade an old Volvo for an '87 300sdl?

Buy it now price is too high but it's worth more than the average TD since the engine has been replaced and he seems to have been conscious of good maintenance. I paid $3200 for mine with 135k on it about 2 yrs ago. Looked for about six months or so to find it.
He says he just 'greased the upper arms'. Are there grease fittings on the TD? If so, I've been neglecting them.

You'd think a guy who replaed his engine at 223k would be a little reluctant to claim that the engine will run a million miles.

I have been watching this one too. I bought my wagon for $3400 and have about $1000 in parts in it. But it doesn't have a new engine. $9,700 is a it too much. Wonder what it will go for.

That is interesting how he does put contradictory information in the description a few paragraphs apart.

"Low maintenance" later followed by "$12,800" engine repair bill. If that is low maintenance then I can't imaging what he "thinks" high maintenance is!

Its a nice wagon, but not a 9700$ wagon. If I put a new engine in my wagon, it would be the same car, but mine cost 2400$, and has a rebuilt transmission, rebuilt front end, new shocks, and every stock feature of the car works great. Even if I paid 5000$ for an engine, it wouldn't cost 9700$.

Anyway, looks good, but not at the BIY price. It does have some nice features like the scratch strips and crossbars on the top, and the paint is in good shape (rare for the silvers to be in good shape still, if you buy this one, garage it!).

peace,
sam
