I should take delivery of a 97 E300 on Monday. I am unloading the truck and buying this one for my wife. I will start to use the 96 as my daily driver can't wait. This one is young compared to my 96 it has 184K on the odometer and is great condition. I found it purely by accident. I was having the front end aligned on the 96 after replacing the lower control arm bushings, and my indy repair shop owner asked if I knew someone looking for a diesel E class. With the price of gas and the fact that my truck get's 13 mpg I just had to check into this. Got the man's number and looks like every thing will work out just fine. It is gold with gold leather interior, has factory six disc cd changer and mercedes cell phone. This one runs really great it is much faster off the line than the 96 and get's a bit better fuel mileage. I will post some pics as soon as I get it home. woo hoo.

Congrats on the new one. The 5 speed transmission makes all the difference in the world with this car. First gear is really short, so it gets moving quickly.
